Homa committed to gaming the system. With a rebrand to attract the world’s best games makers.
Homa is a games publisher built different. Their technology platform gives independent games creators the tools to go up against the major studios and win. With 200 people from 34 countries, 1 billion downloads of their games, and a total of $165 million in funding, it was time to step up their mission to redefine the gaming industry.
To succeed they needed to build a community of independent game developers. And create a talent brand that would attract the world’s best engineers.

This rebrand was crucial for the next phase of our mission as we look to democratise the industry. We knew we had to be bold, and Ragged Edge has done something truly amazing. The feedback we’re receiving is just insane.
Define
Working across every part of the rapidly-expanding company, from the founding team to new joiners, we led a re-engineering of the brand from the inside out. The new strategy speaks to both elite tech talent and ambitious gamers makers, positioning Homa as a precision-tooled gaming lab that delivers an unfair advantage.


Create
Homa is a place where data and imagination collide. A futuristic lab that makes creating a hit game so easy it feels like cheat code.
Logo
Precision tooled and technical, as if created by a finely tuned algorithm, the logotype comes to life in sound and motion.

Startup screen and sonic branding
The now iconic Homa startup screen and sonic branding, downloaded over 2 billion times, announces your immersion into their world.

The lab
The type, graphic system, art direction and tone of voice showcase a futuristic lab where creativity is fuelled by data.


The wonderland
The Homa characters are brought together from multiple different worlds to roam a futuristic wonderland.

Commit
A reimagined website brings the strategy to life, using gaming language to connect to both games makers and potential hires.

The different reality
By March 2025, Homa had hit 2 billion downloads across their mobile gaming portfolio. Double the number prior to the rebrand’s launch.

Play to win
